Who carries out the work
ADI Leak Detection was founded by Adrian in 2011 to specialise in leak detection, at a time when leaks were usually found by opening up. He was one of the early users of non-invasive methods and built a local business into a national one. After Adrian’s death, ADI Leak Solutions Ltd was formed to continue the company under its name and principles. Managing director Monique Dray, who has worked at ADI for more than ten years, leads it now.
More than twenty-five ADI leak investigation engineers work across England, Scotland and Wales, with an office team in High Wycombe handling bookings, scheduling, reports and questions from agents and landlords. ADI says every engineer is a qualified, registered plumber. It does not carry out general plumbing or repair roofs and building fabric.
ADI’s website points to more than a thousand five-star reviews on Trustpilot, and the independent profile showed 4.7 from 1600+ reviews on 14 September 2026.
Why letting agents get their own name
A letting agent arranging a leak survey is in the middle of four people: the tenant living with the damp, the landlord paying for the work, the contractor who will fix it and the insurer who may cover it. The questions are different from a homeowner's: who lets the engineer in, does the flat above need to be accessible, who authorises the repair, will the landlord's insurer accept the report.
Letting Agent Leak Detection answers those questions for agents, with real residential jobs as the evidence. The engineers, the terms and the report all come from ADI.

- Accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering. ADI describes itself as one of the only CIPHE-accredited water leak detection specialists in the UK.
- WIAPS
- Part of the Water Industry Approved Plumbers Scheme, so plumbing work follows the Water Fittings Regulations.
- WaterSafe
- A WaterSafe approved contractor on the national register.
- SPATA
- An approved contractor of the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association.
- CSCS
- Engineers hold Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards for work on construction sites.

- £5 million public liability insurance.

- Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:30pm. Calls to the office are recorded for quality and training purposes.
How an instruction is handled
Call the office with the property address, what the tenant has reported and how access will be arranged. They work out the right investigation, quote it and book the engineer, follow the visit and send the report. The landlord, the insurer or the repairing contractor can ring the same team with questions about the findings.
